We at Classic Children's Tales offer a wealth of delightful, familiar fairy tales and Folklore Classics of old. That is to say that the titles, and sometimes the storylines, are familiar. However, many times current readers are surprised by the twists of the original storylines because our perceptions have been formed by modern productions of these classics. The audio-tales we offer are told as first written by the original authors centuries ago and in a very different time.
Whether or not you are familiar with the twentieth century, animated productions of Sleeping Beauty, Show White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella or Song of the South, you will find our audio versions of the original tales fascinating and entertaining. All the Br'er Rabbit tales (the basis for the 1946 Disney film, Song of the South) are available here along with other works of Joel Chandler Harris. These, of course, primarily appear under the heading of the various tales of uncle Remus titles. We also offer other Southern and Plantation classics such as Diddie, Dumps, and Tot and The Littlest Rebel, which have never before been offered in audio format. Although our books are geared to children, we feel they are also quite enjoyable for the adult listener as well, especially those with an interest in the classics of folklore and fantasy children's stories. We will continue our search for wonderful children's literary classics to record in easy listening format, so please be sure to visit us often to see what new items we've added.
